Win a place in the 2012 Nexxus Life-Sci Visions Calendar!

The Nexxus Life-Sci Visions Calendar showcases Scotland's life science expertise and capabilities and submissions are sought from Scottish based life science related organisations, institutions and networks for consideration for inclusion.

The final selections for the calendar will be judged by attendees at the East and West Nexxus Awards events in November 2011 and submissions will also be showcased on the Nexxus website.

Each month a different winning organisation, institution or network's image will appear in the Calendar accompanied by a brief description and website address for further information.    This is an ideal opportunity to promote your organisation. Closing date for submissions is 14 October 2011.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions should comprise a visually interesting/arresting and colourful image (or images) indicative of, or in connection with, the organisation, institution or network's activities together with a maximum of 50 words describing their activities.   Image(s) submitted - maximum of 3 suggested - should be:-

  • Landscape
  • Jpeg
  • 300 dpi
  • Colour (preferably but not necessarily)
  • Of any subject - eg people, cells, viruses, scans, devices etc - whatever it is that the organisation submitting it is associated with
  • Accompanied by a brief caption to explain what the image shows
  • In addition please note that images should be without restrictions for reproduction by Nexxus in print or electronic format (ie in the calendar and on the website).   In submitting images, permission is also deemed to have been given to Nexxus to forward same with any press releases issued with regard to the calendar and for the images submitted by each organisation, institution or network to be shown during the Nexxus West or East Annual Life Science Awards evenings in November 2011. During the evening attendees, Award winners and their guests will be asked to indicate their preferred images for the calendar (though they will not be allowed to vote for any they have submitted themselves of course!).   Where more than the requisite 12 images find favour however, the final choice will be made by the Nexxus team on the basis of ensuring as broad a range as possible of Scotland's life science capabilities is represented.

Entry Fee

There is no entry fee as such but to be accepted, all submitting organisations, institutions and networks MUST please ensure their details are included in the Company and Organisation Listing on the Nexxus website.   The quick and easy to complete online form to add details (where they are not already there) may be accessed at Company and Organisation Listing.

Prize

Twelve organisations submitting images will secure a place in the 2011 Calendar which will be distributed together with c 3,000 copies of the Winter issue of Nexxus News in December 2011 and they will also receive up to 10 copies (more subject to payment of additional print costs incurred) of the calendar for own distribution purposes.   Images will be reproduced together with description and website address of the submitting organisation.

However, all organisations submitting images will have their image(s) and their name displayed during the West and East Nexxus 2011 Annual Life Science Awards events in November 2011 and will appear on the Nexxus website in the Life-Sci Visions Calendar section.

Making a Submission

Submissions should be sent electronically to Jan Clark, Marketing Communications Manager, Nexxus at j.clark@nexxusscotland.com

If no acknowledgement of receipt is received within a few days of sending, this may be because the image(s) sent are too large and you should therefore resize and resubmit/send multiple images separately.   Should this not remedy the situation, please send an email without attachments to Jan for advice.

Closing Date

Closing date for submissions is 14 October 2011.
