What's your vision of life science? This 2007 Nexxus "Art meets Science" competition invited adults (life scientists, artists and the general public) and Primary 7 City of Glasgow schoolchildren to submit their personal vision of life science in the West of Scotland for the chance to win a prize and have their winning entry featured in the Nexxus 2008 calendar. Requirements were as follows :-
- Entries had to be two dimensional; minimum A5 size, maximum A2 size; landscape orientation and capable of being captured digitally for reproduction purposes.
- Medium - any medium was acceptable eg photography; digital/computerised images; pen and ink; charcoal; paints - watercolour, oil, poster; crayon; coloured pencil; collage; embroidery etc.
- Subject matter - anything was acceptable but the image had to be a personal vision of life science or what the term "life science" made the entrant think of. Some images were shown in the Life-Sci Visions poster which helped promote the competition and other insights on life science could be found on our website eg the Latest News and Case Studies sections.
Prize sponsors : Byrne Recruitment, Diligence Risk Management (a product of IMG), Insurance Management Group (IMG), Kennedys Patent, Shepherd & Wedderburn and the University of Glasgow.
