Funding: Institute-Industry Liaison Day
The Institute-Industry Liaison Day offers a unique opportunity for the Scottish SME community to learn about the work at the Moredun Research Institute and the Institute for Animal Health.
Aiming to harness the wealth of knowledge and experience within the Institutes and forging partnerships with the industrial bioscience excellence found within Scotland, the Institute-Industry Liaison Day offers an opportunity for knowledge exchange and fact-finding for the mutual benefit of the Institutes and industry.

The Institute-Industry Liaison Day begins with a series of short talks from the Institutes' Heads of Division detailing the breadth of work, highlighting areas of expertise and areas of potential collaboration with industry.
Following lunch is the networking and partnering session. By stating their commercial and research interests, each attendee will be partnered with people with similar interests, in the aim of creating new networks and working relationships.
Collaborative Funding Opportunity
The liaison event is organized by Genecom; to encourage collaboration and interaction between the Institutes and industry Genecom can provide seed funding of up to £15,000. The Genecom Orphans Fund is designed specifically to encourage interaction between the Institutes and the Scottish SME community.
Expertise
Both Institutes, MRI and IAH, the emphasis of the knowledge created is focussed on animal health and veterinary science. However the expertise at both Institutes goes beyond this and touches most areas of biological science and biotechnology.
