This award aims to acknowledge extraordinary contribution to life sciences from a young scientist in academia, the NHS or industry in the West or East of Scotland. Applications are invited on behalf of individuals working in the life science sector in the West or East of Scotland.
The Nexxus Young Life Scientist of the Year will be awarded to an individual who satisfies all of the following conditions :
- aged under 35 years of age on the date of nomination
- works for an organisation in the life science sector
- based in the West or East of Scotland and works for an organisation in the West or East of Scotland
This competition will be judged on :
- quality of contribution to the individual's organisation
- novelty of approach by the individual
- likely impact of the individual's work within the life sciences sector
