This award acknowledges an individual who has contributed significantly to raising the reputation of the West or the East of Scotland as a centre of excellence for life sciences in either academic or commercial sectors.
The Nexxus Lifetime Achievement Award will be awarded to an individual who satisfies all of the following conditions :
- has worked in life sciences (but not necessarily a scientist) in academia, the NHS or industry
- has worked in the West or East of Scotland for a period in excess of seven years
The competition will be judged on :
- A panel of judges will determine the nominee who has done the most, through their life's work in life sciences, to increase the international reputation of the West or East of Scotland as a centre of excellence in life sciences.
