Highlighting life science excellence in central Scotland
Nexxus held its fifth Annual Life Science Awards in the West of Scotland on 11 November at Oran Mor in Glasgow and its first ever Life Science Awards in the East on 24 November, hosted by Edinburgh City Chambers. The Awards, attended by more than 250 people, celebrated the vitality of the life sciences sector in Scotland and acknowledged local life scientists and their accomplishments.
Keynote speaker at both Awards events, Rhona Allison, Senior Director Life Sciences, Scottish Enterprise, highlighted the future of life sciences in Scotland as a globally oriented, sustainable, fully connected sector built on collaboration and scientific excellence.
This year's winners in East and West exemplify the collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit of life sciences in Scotland. Each began the journey with just an idea, and all of them have transformed these ideas into successful companies, products, and services that have made, or are poised to make, significant contributions to the continued success of Scotland's life science sector.
